Upcoming Credit Classes: Northeast Key Funded Programs

I. The Child Development Associate Specialized Diploma

Child Development Associate Classes (CDA) encompass three (3 credit) classes as part of the Child Development Associate Specialized Diploma

  • EARL106 - Early Childhood Development and Learning
  • EARL217 - Child, Family and Community
  • EARL244 - Early Childhood Profession

These courses are offered individually and also in a streamlined 36 week program called eCDA. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive 9 credit hours to apply to the Council of Professional Recognition to gain a CDA Credential. Credits can also apply towards an Early Childhood Education: Infant to Grade 4 Associate Degree

II. Leadership for Early Childhood Program Directors Specialized Diploma

Director Credential Classes encompass three (3 credit) classes as part of the Leadership for Early Childhood Program Directors Specialized Diploma

  • EARL231 - Organization & Administration of Early childhood Programs
  • EARL232 - Leadership Seminar in Early Childhood Education
  • BUSA101 - Introduction to Business

These courses can be taken in any order to complete the 9 credit hours to be used to apply for the Pennsylvania Director Credential. 15 prior credits in Early Childhood Education are required to enroll.

III. The School Age Child Care Specialized Diploma

School Age Child Care (SAPC) encompass three (3 credit) classes as part of the School Age Child Care Specialized Diploma

  • EARL102 - School-Age Child Development and Learning
  • EARL103 - School-Age Child, Family, and Community
  • EARL104 - School-Age Child Care Profession

These courses are offered individually and also in a streamlined 36 week program called SAPC. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive 9 credit hours to apply to the Pennsylvania School Age Professional Credential to gain a School Age Credential. Credits can also apply towards an Early Childhood Education: Infant to Grade 4 Associate Degree
