NCC to Hold Black History Month Film Series

Northampton Community College (NCC) will honor Black History Month with the free screenings of the following films:

Unchained Memories:  Readings from the Slave Narratives. Celebrated African-American actors read the first-person anecdotes of former slaves in this riveting documentary. Two showings:  Tuesday, February 21 and Tuesday, February 28, 11 a.m., Room 161 of College Center.

Glory.  Starring Denzel Washington, the film portrays an African American volunteer company during the Civil War. Wednesday, February 22, 7 p.m. in the Student Life Zone.

Remember the Titans. The true story of a newly appointed African-American coach and his high school team on their first season as a racially integrated unit. Friday, February 24, 7 p.m. in the Student Life Zone.

The film series is being sponsored by the PAN African One World United Club and the Black Brothers Union.
