History and Hollywood: Glory

As part of the History and Hollywood Film Series the film Glory, which portrays an African American volunteer company during the Civil War, will have two showings at Northampton Community College (NCC):

NCC Monroe Campus

Sunday, February 11, 1:00 p.m.
3 Old Mill Road, Tannersville, Community Room

NCC Main Campus
Sunday, February 12, 1:00 p.m.
Lipkin Theatre, Kopecek Hall
3835 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem Township. 

Dr. Brian Alnutt, assistant professor of history, and Sharon Gavin Levy, professor of English, will introduce the movie and conduct a discussion afterward. 

The History and Hollywood Series is part of The Civil War: The Meaning of Freedom, a year-long exploration of the progress we have made toward national ideals since the Civil War, made possible by the National Endowment for the Humanities, matched by generous donors and in partnership with the Bethlehem Area Public Library, Bethlehem Area School District, Eastern Monroe Public Library, Historic Bethlehem Partnership, Monroe County Historical Society, and Stroudsburg Area High School.
