Would your NCC club, department or organization like to submit an item for the Notice Board? E-mail your notice, in 6 lines or less, to Public_Information@northampton.edu. Notices may be edited for space and/or clarity. All announcements must be NCC-related.

From The Sustainability Committee:  The Environmental Task Force and the East 40 Community Garden have joined together to form "The Sustainability Committee." Our first meeting for the semester is Thursday, February 2 at 3:30 p.m. in College Center Room 167. All are welcome!

From Monroe Student Services:  An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Monday, February 6 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Walk-ins welcome and open to the public. Save a life!

From Dr. Kiki Anastasakos, political science professor:  Study abroad in Costa Rica! Applications are now being accepted for the study abroad trip to be held June 12 -25, 2012. Scholarships are available for qualified students. For more information, click here.

From the Step Club:  Psst - have you heard? There's a new club at the Monore Campus, NCC's Step Club. Not sure what Stepping is? It's a form of synchronized dance. If you are interested in becoming part of the  Step Club, contact Club Advisor Denise Harris at dharris@northampton.edu or 570-688-4184, or stop by a meeting. They are held every Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 in Room 150 at the Monroe Campus.

From the Waldman Fitness Center:  We're teaming up with Nike Reuse-A-Shoe for a shoe drive and we need your help. Bring us as many worn-out athletic shoes as possible and toss 'em in our bins instead of tossing 'em in the trash so Nike-Reuse-A-Shoe can recyle them into new places to play like playgrounds. Bring athletic shoes only (no sandals, flip-flops, damp or muddy shoes, or metal, cleats or dress shoes) to the NCC Fitness Center (SPTC 102) from now until May 18.

From the Christian Fellowship & Outreach Club:  This semester we are trying to raise $3,000 to purchase the plane tickets for 8 Ethiopian Jews for their flight home to the Holy Land. Flyers will be posted around both Monroe and Main campuses. You can contact the club via e-mail at NHChrist_Fire@ymail.com or by phone at 570-350-2582 to request more information or make a donation.

From the Pan African - One World United Club:  We  are extending our cell phone drive in conjunction with the 2012 MLK Day of Service. The cell phones will be turned into pre-paid phones for residents at Turning Point, a shelter for women and children located in Allentown. Please drop off your used cell phones at any of the following locations: the Library Circulation Desk, Residence Hall, Student Life Zone,  or Student Services.  Cell phones will be collected through February 29.
