Pohl Named Athlete of the Week

In addition to being named the Male Scholar-Athlete of the year, Rich Pohl, the shortstop for the Northampton Community College Spartans baseball team, has been named Athlete of the Week.
Pohl, a '07 Belvidere High School graduate and electronics technology major at NCC, helped lead the Spartans to their first National Junior College Athletic Association Region XIX Final Four appearance in only their second season of competition in the NJCAA.
The Spartans, who upset 4th seeded Bergen County College to advance to the Final Four, finished the 2010 season with a 20-21 record.
