Thanksgiving in July?

July 15, 2010

More than 60 international students are in residence at Northampton Community College this summer, learning English and studying American culture.

To give them a taste of American traditions and cuisine, dining services will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving feast with all the fixings on Monday, July 19. The menu will include turkey and gravy, cornbread stuffing, candied sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, corn, cranberry sauce, rolls, pumpkin or apple pie and a fountain beverage of choice. Faculty, staff and students from the local area have been invited, too.

The event is being coordinated by Connie Golden, an intern in dining services.  Prior to the meal, Connie will share information on nutrition with the students.

Better not take that second piece of pie!
