THE FOLLOWING REGISTRATION AND TESTING INFORMATION AND SCHEDULE APPLIES ONLY TO THE PAPER VERSION OF THE GED TEST ADMINISTERED AT THE FOWLER SOUTHSIDE CENTER

2013 GED® TEST IN-PERSON REGISTRATION &TESTING SCHEDULE

WHEN YOU ARE RE-TAKING OR COMPLETING THE GED TEST:
You must call the GED Test Registrar at (610) 861-5514 before in-person registration day. Leave a message on the GED Test voice mail; the Registrar will return your call. After speaking with the Registrar, you can attend an in-person registration.

IN-PERSON REGISTRATION - INFORMATION

In-person registration is held one day per month. Refer to the schedule in this document for monthly in-person registration dates.

Bring your current PA Driver's License or PA Photo ID, Social Security Number, and test fee to the in-person registration. (If you do not have a current PA photo ID, inform the Registrar before in-person registration day. You will be advised of the alternate documentation that is accepted at in-person registration.)

Payment is due at the time of registration.
Each individual test is $25.00.
The College accepts cash, money order, cashier check, or credit card.
(NO personal checks or third party checks accepted).

We are located at the NCC Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. 3rd Street, Room 450, Bethlehem, PA 18015.

REGISTRATION DAY:
You may register for testing in the morning or the afternoon. You are expected to be on time for the registration session you select:

  • 9:00 AM
  • 2:00 PM

Sign-in for registration is located in the Adult Literacy office suite (room 450). Test slots will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Your name will be called in order from a sign-in sheet.

NOTICE-LIMITED SEATING FOR THE GED TEST

  • There are limited seats available for each month's test.
  • Seats for the current month's test may be unavailable. Attending an in-person registration during a month does not guarantee that you will be registered to test in that same month.
  • If seats for the current month's test are unavailable, registrations for the following month's test will be accepted. If seats for the following month's test fill during a registration, we will be unable to register you for testing. To register for the GED Test, you will need to attend a subsequent month's registration.

REFUND POLICY:
The GED Test fee is non-refundable.
The fee applies only to your scheduled testing dates

TESTING DAYS:
You will be informed of specific testing dates at registration.

TESTING TIME (PM testing-all months):
Test check-in begins at 5:00 PM in the testing room (room to be announced at registration).
Testing begins promptly at 5:30 PM.
No one will be admitted to the testing room after 5:15 PM

SPECIAL! JUNE ONLY! EXTRA TESTING SESSION – AM TESTING
TESTING TIME:
Test check-in begins at 9:00 AM in the testing room (room to be announced at registration).
Testing begins promptly at 9:30 AM.
No one will be admitted to the testing room after 9:15 AM

2013 GED TESTING SCHEDULE

NOTICE: INCLEMENT WEATHER

  • Check www.northampton.edu and/or the TV/radio for announcements on College closings. If you are unsure if the Fowler Center is closed or will close, call the Fowler Adult Literacy office at (610) 332-8650.
  • If the Fowler Center will be open, the GED Test session will run (unless you are notified otherwise).
  • If the Fowler Center will be closed, testing is cancelled for that night(s). When the College re-opens, call the office number above for information on rescheduled test dates.

SPECIAL! JUNE ONLY! GED TESTING AVAILABLE IN AM & PM

  • As available, we will offer two separate test sessions in June—an AM session and a PM session. Testers may select one session only.
