Online Tutoring
If you are an online learner and you need additional help, or if you cannot come to campus during regular tutoring hours, consider taking advantage of the Learning Center's online tutoring services. We offer two ways to get help without coming to campus:
Live Online Tutoring
Live tutoring sessions using the Eluminate Live system are available from any computer with Internet access.
Instructions for Online Tutoring
- Check the Online Tutoring Schedule to see if online tutoring is offered for your online or campus course.
- You can get the link for your online tutoring room in one of two ways:
- From your Blackboard course, go to Course Information> Student Rights and Support Services, or
- email either the Bethlehem Learning Center at tbrindisi@northampton.edu or the Monroe Learning Center at mryan@northampton.edu and we will send you the links promptly.
- On the evening of your tutoring session, open Internet Explorer and plug in your headset (if you have one). Click on the link for your online tutoring room at the scheduled tutoring time. Remember you can log in to the tutoring room only during the scheduled tutoring time, for example, Monday from 8-11PM.
Email Tutoring
You can email a tutor in one of the following subject areas with quick questions. Please specify the course (e.g. ENGL151C), instructor, and assignment. A tutor will respond within one or two working days.
