Located on 82 acres in Pocono Township and less than two miles from the existing Tannersville campus, the brand new Monroe campus scheduled to open in 2014 will include science and computer labs, meeting rooms, art studios and galleries, a state-of-the-art library, child care center, food court, student activity areas, faculty and staff offices, service areas, and athletic fields, among other amenities. It will accommodate 5,000 students and double the amount of degree and certificate programs available, as well as provide space for cultural and community events.

The new campus -- with its footprint composed of three modern buildings -- will also be constructed with materials and technologies with the lowest environmental impact, following LEED (U.S. Green Building Council) Silver standards. It will have energy-efficient lighting and use a geothermal heating and cooling system.

The project will be completed in several phases, with most classrooms and student service areas expected to be completed during Phase I leading up to the 2014 opening.
