Northampton Community College is committed to offering educational, volunteer and partnership opportunities that best serve the needs of its students and of the surrounding community. Through its dedicated students, faculty, staff and alumni, the College's impact on society transpires with efforts local and global, each emblematic of what being a "community college" means and reflective of the College's mission, values and vision.
The following is just a listing of a few ways that NCC works with and impacts the community:
Service Learning: Including the Help America Vote Act Grant (HAVA); the Supporting Actions For Engagement (SAFE) Grant; participation in the Trinity ARK Soup Kitchen; and independent projects done by students in the veterinary technology, journalism, nursing, criminology and biology programs
East 40 Community Garden: This 4.5-acre tract of land adjacent to the Green Pond overflow parking lot on the Main Campus is being tended to by members of the Good Growers Club and members of NCC's faculty and staff, and is growing every year
Volunteerism: Are you looking for a fulfilling volunteer opportunity that can directly impact our community?
