Educational Perspectives
I currently serve Northampton Community College as the Dean of Allied Health and Sciences. Prior to my appointment, I had the good fortune to hold a variety of professional positions which provided me with rich experiences which enhance my role as Dean daily.
My Baccalaureate and Master degrees are in Nursing from Bloomsburg and De Sales Universities, respectively. Nursing continues to be a personal passion and I am fortunate to oversee the high quality nursing programs at NCC in my role as Dean.
As the Dean, I work closely with faculty on a day-to-day basis to support and encourage their work with students in the teaching-learning process. Collectively, we strive to provide academically rich curricula in a positive learner-centered environment.
I believe that collaborative relationships among and between individuals serve as the foundation upon which academic integrity and accomplishments are based. These relationships exist between faculty and students, faculty and administrators, students and staff, etc. across all organizational and departmental boundaries. I consider it a primary focus of my work to facilitate positive academic partnerships to enrich the experience of our students.
The NCC mission statement guides my work and the work of the division as we aim to provide students with the knowledge and critical skill they need to adapt to challenges in life and employment and become actively engaged citizens within our community.
