Program Description

Northampton Community College offers the Applied Science degree and Specialized Diploma in Biotechnology. The Biotechnology program prepares students to obtain entry-level positions as manufacturing or research technicians in biopharmaceuticals and other industries.

The PETRI Project at Northampton Community College, supported by a grant for the US Department of Labor, offers two specialized diplomas: one in Aseptic Processing and one in Automation Control. One-day non-credit courses are also available to individuals and company employees. See the PETRI Project subpage for more details.

The National Science Foundation SMaRT Scholarships at Northampton Community College provide grants for full tuition, book costs and other expenses as well as mentoring, tutoring, academic and career support for eligible students pursuing Science, Math and Related Technology (SMaRT) majors.

Articulation Agreements:

 

There are currently three signed articulation agreements for transferring NCC Biotechnology credits into related programs at East Stroudsburg University and Marywood University.
