Program Description

Students interested in the arts have many options at Northampton, including studies in the fine arts, communication design, multimedia and Web design.

The fine art associate degree program is encompassed by many disciplines, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking and others. Students will gain insight into the vast artistic world, and be ready to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program.

Communication design prepares students for a job in the rapidly growing new media marketplace. Or, they can transfer to earn a bachelor’s degree.

Two specialized diplomas, multimedia and Web site design, are taught in state-of-the-art labs, and enable students to express their creativity in an electronic forum.
