Professional Experience:

I have worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for the last 30 years in many different capacities. Each experience has deepened my understanding of the field in different ways. As a teacher in child care centers and Montessori schools, I realized the importance of our profession in shaping the future of young children and supporting the families of our communities. I found my role as a lab school coordinator very fulfilling as a mentor and supporting the interns through rich classroom experiences. My work with Head Start families revealed a new dimension of our field and the far reaching impact it has in the lives of young children and their families. All these experiences have not only enriched my knowledge and skills but have also strengthened my commitment to this field. As an Adjunct faculty, I welcome the opportunity to work with aspiring professionals of our field to share my skills and experiences in yet another new setting.

I have many hobbies and interests outside of my profession that I like to get involved in.  Travel, gardening, cooking, yoga, music, dance, and reading are just a few to mention.  Becoming a fluent Spanish speaker is my life long goal.
