I teach a variety of courses for the Early Childhood Education Department--on campus credit, non-credit to credit workshops, and on line courses.  Because I am the mom of three young children, teaching these courses is both energizing and humbling.  I am always interested in what the latest research is saying about how children learn and how adults can best support that learning.

The opportunity to encourage and equip other adults who work directly with children is an important gift. These children are our communities' and nations' future. That is the main reason I am involved in the field of Early Childhood Education. I am on the faculty at NCC is because it allows me to do this important work as an adjunct faculty member AND spend ample time with my own children. Two key beliefs I hold are that children are capable of and know much more than many adults give them credit for (especially infants and toddlers), and I believe that we can always learn and grow and become more developed in our own understanding of the world. This life-long learning is an adventure I invite you to join.
