| In Spring 2005, the Mathematics Department at NCC implemented a project-oriented College Algebra Course. This Course is recommended for students whose majors include managerial or social sciences. We offer four sections of project-oriented College Algebra each semester as well as traditional lecture sections. Data was collected for two semesters, Spring 2005 and Fall 2005. Data included final grades in the courses to compare the success of students. We also compared how students performed in the next mathematics course. We presented our findings at the first annual MSPGP conference held on March 25, 2006. |
