Building Momentum
On Thursday, May 29, 2008, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the current Monroe Campus in Tannersville, NCC celebrates "Building Momentum" for a truly momentous building event.

Join us in our 20th year in Monroe County as we celebrate the purchase of land and development of building plans for our dream campus, built from the ground up and committed to being environmentally green. <more...>

Spartans Going Nationwide
NCC's athletes may soon have more competition and a greater chance to be seen by scouts as the College plans to join the National Junior College Athletic Association.

After nearly 40 years as part of the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference, the move to the NJCAA means higher visibility for students to be seen by scouts and possibly transfer to National Collegiate Athletic Association schools.

"I think right now we're at a crossroads," said Troy Tucker, the College's director of athletics and physical education. "It's really going to help our kids down the road." <more...>

Future Alumni
Recipients of the 2007-08 NCC Alumni Association Scholarship, which recognizes outstanding second-year students, joined Alumni Board member and student outreach committee chair Scott Raab recently for lunch at Hampton Winds.

Alumni Stories

A Passion for politics
Sandi Vulcano is in love. We’re not talking about the devotion of her 34-year marriage to Dr. Pat Vulcano, Jr. Nor those tender maternal feelings for her daughter, Michele, now age 25 and a graduate of Central Pennsylvania College who is continuing her education at NCC. <more...>

Catching up with Pauline (Rice) Ribau
Catching up with alumni is the best way to see the success of NCC graduates. Whether you find you share a similar life journey or it is a story unique to them, enjoy this new addition of an alumni Q&A in every issue of our e-newsletter. <more...>

SMaRT Scholarships Help STEM Students
Beginning with the fall '08 semester, NCC will initiate the SMaRT Scholarship for Success. What are SMaRT Scholarships? Well, like the acronym says: Science, Math and Related Technology. SMaRT, huh!?  <more...>

Speaking of STEM
The advent of SMaRT scholarships to help qualified students into STEM programs is exciting; those two acronyms have become buzz words around campus – synonyms, really, for savvy, forward thinking students.

Tribute Garden Dedication

NCC's Tribute Garden dedication took place on Tuesday, April 22.

The ceremony, a well-attended, free event, was held outside of Penn Hall, the site of the Garden, coinciding happily with Earth Day. The Tribute Garden will be a place to honor both those who have been lost to us, as well as to remember someone, or some group, who helped to make a difference in our lives. It will be a spacious, natural, setting for outdoor events of all kinds.

The NCC Alumni Association will sponsor a fountain deck as part of the Tribute Garden, adding another piece of campus for alumni pride.
