Gina Turner, PhD in Psychology, certified yoga instructor and wellness coach, is passionate about helping people to pursue their healthiest lives. She is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the Main Campus at NCC. Prior to starting at NCC in 2009, her work as a researcher investigating psychological factors in physical illness, resulted in a number of presentations and publications on coping, decision-making, communication, and thought processes about health.
Gina uses yoga and wellness coaching techniques in her psychology classes, allowing students to experience and discuss exercise, meditation, and mindfulness. She has worked as a flexibility trainer with a Women's NCAA Division I Soccer Team, and is currently on the board for CONTACT crisis hotline in New Jersey, also serving as a volunteer.
