Lorna Midgelow Yearwood

Lorna Midgelow-Yearwood has the passion of a "born-again" organic vegetable gardener. For many years she was unable to grow vegetables through lack of sun. Now, happily in full sunshine, she is entering her seventh year of serious backyard farming! She is a voracious reader of gardening books and has experienced plenty of hands-on successes and failures in her garden. She has attended a multitude of commercial organic vegetable and fruit classes, plus she has worked part-time on a local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm. In an attempt to be more self-reliant and reduce her environmental footprint on the earth, she grows, stores, processes, cooks and eats a wide variety of crops in her backyard in Springtown, PA. By teaching this series of classes she hopes to help and inspire others to do the same.
