This introductory course in Jewelry Arts/Metalworking is designed for the serious amateur. The course is structured to develop technical proficiency and stresses the importance of working carefully and precisely. Class includes lecture, demonstration, and studio lab time, where instructor will guide students through a progression of exercises and planned projects. Emphasis is placed on process and skill development. Materials used may include: copper, brass, bronze and sterling silver. CALA0208 - Jewelry Arts I Soldering Techniques
Continue to hone your metal working skills and learn what you need to know about soldering for jewelry making and art metal applications. Syllabus includes techniques developed by the instructor, which will provide even the experienced metalsmith with a higher level of proficiency and craftsmanship. Learn why some established methodology is inefficient and often ineffective. Non-ferrous metals like copper, brass, bronze, sterling silver and gold may be used.
