The instructor for the RV Technician Training program at NCC is Gary Bunzer. Gary has a long history with RVs. He spent his youth working summers for his father's mobile home manufacturing company in Florida, gaining a firm understanding of carpentry, plumbing and electrical systems. An occasional RV would filter through the service department and Gary would get a chance to hone his appliance repair skills and 12-volt troubleshooting procedures. Upon moving to California in the early 1970s, Gary likes to say that he "graduated" from mobile homes to the RV Industry full time. His "hands-on" years were spent at service shops and dealerships as a flat-rate service technician and he later served as Service Manager at various RV facilities.

Since he had already gained national exposure through his question and answer column, The RV Doctor, in the early 1980s, Gary was approached to design, write and implement one of the very first formal schools for training RV technicians. While doing course work for a Bachelors of Technical Education degree, he began teaching technicians and RV owners alike the intricacies of RV maintenance and service, each at their own level. Gary has provided educational materials for both entities in three arenas: live seminars, written articles, and broadcast quality videotapes. He has presented training classes at many dealerships, service centers, trade associations, RV clubs and at other industry-related events all across North America.

Gary was also the Technical Editor of RV News, one of the industry's leading trade magazines, and continues to write informative articles for both the trade press as well as consumer publications and newspapers. He has authored Installation Manuals and User's Guides for many product manufacturers and currently wears the hat of Technical Editor at the Woodall family of publications and RV View, Camping World's "President's Club" magazine. Gary also serves the industry as a consultant and expert witness to legal firms for litigation and mediation disputes between product manufacturers and consumers.

You can visit Gary's popular website, The RV Doctor, to read some of the articles and columns he has published over the years.
