Emergency Services personnel do something different every day, for every call. NCC's program is specially designed to make students well-versed in rescue and firefighting skills, emergency scene operations, hazardous materials response, emergency service law, and more. The program also covers recertification in EMT, CPR and other related offerings. Students benefit from a unique learning environment, hands-on training and practical experience through local fire and rescue organizations.
Due to the demand for emergency services professionals in Northampton County, NCC created the Emergency Services Specialized Diploma program. The program supplements the current associate's degree program, but provides students with an alternative level of achievement (26 credits) in a shorter period of time. There is also an opportunity for a (limited enrollment) EMT specialized diploma after completing 6 credits. Tuition-free enrollment options are in place for emergency services personnel currently employed by the county.
