Healthcare Training at NCC

Taught by industry experts, NCC's Healthcare Education includes an important array of professional and paraprofessional healthcare continuing education courses, as well as accredited continuing education for nurses and personal care home administration. Available to individuals or through corporate training.

What We Offer

Effective bystander CPR provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival (heart.org). Northampton offers BLS/CPR/First Aid programs for individuals, families, healthcare professionals, community organizations and businesses including: 

  • AHA Heartsaver CPR AED
  • AHA Heartsaver First Aid
  • AHA Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, AED
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers - Renewal
  • Heartsaver Pediatric CPR and First Aid
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Core Instructor Course for those interested in being CPR instructors

Our programs are American Heart Association (AHA) certified and feature a two year certification.

 

All programs include the use of manikins which provide feedback, visual aids, and hands-on instruction, resulting in a more confident level of expertise.

Looking for on-site training for your organization? We can deliver training for 10 or more employees at a time that best accommodates your organization. Training will satisfy most OSHA requirements and includes a certification card. Looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity? Participants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or GED to enroll in most of the programs. Funding may be available to eligible participants through PA CareerLink® for select programs.

Improving Radiographic Techniques for the Dental Team
Join your colleagues to use discussion, problem-solving, and sharing of best practices to enhance radiographic techniques and the quality of your radiographic/digital images and to ensure diagnostic films and client safety. Participants will self-identify concerns or areas where improvement is desired and cover a variety of topics designed to meet the continuing education (CE) radiology update requirement mandated by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for PA dental radiographers. Credits do count toward mandatory CE licensing requirements as well.

CBI Healthcare Education offers the programs that nurses need.  Whether you are recent graduate preparing for the NCLEX, a current nurse looking to fulfill your mandatory contact hours or a nurse who had a license but had it lapse and needs to complete a reactivation program to re-enter the workforce.  Most of our continuing education are PSNA approved.

Reactivation/Review Programs

 

Northampton Community College's "Personal Care Home Administrator" program is officially approved by the Department of Human Services - under 55 PA Code 2600.64 (a)(2). This program satisfies the Pennsylvania requirements for obtaining (100 hrs) training for certification as a Personal Care Home Administrator. It consists of 20 individual modules, covered in 30 evenings of training.
