Inkjet Cartridge Recycling Effort Helps Animals in Need
February 13, 2006

The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) is collecting old inkjet cartridges to be recycled. For each inkjet cartridge collected and turned in, PETsMART Charities will donate $2 to an animal welfare agency such as the SPCA or Humane Society. This program helps provide animal welfare agencies with much-needed money, plus it is good for the environment since the spent cartridges will be recycled rather than end up in a landfill. The inkjet cartridges can be dropped off in the Nursing Office in Penn Hall 120C throughout this semester. Unfortunately, white cartridges, gray cartridges and Epson cartridges are not recyclable.
