Community colleges are being celebrated in the media for their ability to train students for high paying jobs and for helping America regain its competitive edge. Recently CNN ran an article on its website titled: “10 Best-Paying Jobs for Associate Degrees.” The May 1 edition of Newsweek contains the story “We’ve Overlooked One of Our Greatest Assets.” The author William D. Green, CEO of Accenture, got his start at a community college.
