Isadore LaDuca, an adjunct art instructor who has been teaching painting and drawing classes here at NCC for the past ten years, has been named Artist of the Year by the Arts Community of Easton (ACE.) ACE held its annual Arts and Patron of the Year awards dinner December 3.

LaDuca is a long standing member and past board member of ACE. An Easton resident, he received his BFA from Tyler School of Art in 1977 and an MFA from Syracuse University in 1988. He works in multi-paneled imagery combining both abstraction and realism and occasionally incorporates text.

For the past several years, LaDuca assisted in organizing murals in the park in conjunction with the River Rites and Shad Festivals. The on-site murals have offered the public an opportunity to interact with artists and watch as they create work in the moment. His work can be seen in many locations in downtown Easton, including Ocean, The River Grill, Connexions Gallery, the Quadrant and the City Council Chamber located in the Alpha Building.
