Once again NCC’s Team Spartan lit the night and helped raise awareness and funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. The annual Lehigh Valley Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk took place on NCC’s Main Campus on Saturday, October 4.

Team Spartan is made up of dedicated staff, faculty, and students who walked a mile and a half around campus for the cause. Participants held red balloons if they were supporters, white balloons if they were survivors, and gold balloons in memory of a loved one. The band Shake, Rattle and Soul performed as well as NCC's Dance Club Acta Non Verba. The delicous food was provided by NCC's own Chef Char Hartley and his diligent crew.

3,500 people from around the Valley attended the event and helped light the night sky for hope and a cure. Donations are still coming in, but the walk in total is expected to raise $320,000 to help find a cure for blood cancers.
