Working together, the students, faculty, and staff of the Monroe Campus were able to surpass their target goal for the campus’ annual
United Way
fundraiser. The hope was to raise $4,000, which was $855 more than last year. They were able to exceed the target thanks to the generosity of many faculty, staff, and student organizations and raise a total of $4,310.00.
Chris Armstrong, speech instructor, and her communications class supported the fund-raising efforts by holding a change drive, a Wacky Hour event that included a bake sale, and the Rock Your Musical Skills Night talent show, with all proceeds benefiting the United Way. In total the communications class raised more than $850.
