Dr. Harold Weiss, associate professor of philosophy at NCC, was a presenter at the annual meeting of the American Philosophical Association’s eastern division last month. He spoke on “The APA’s Guide to Philosophy in Two-Year Colleges: An Overview with Career Advice for Graduate Schools” at the meeting held in

Dr. Weiss has been invited to speak in
San Francisco
in April at the organization’s Pacific Division meeting. His topic there will be “Courage and Cowardice in Fact and Fiction: Talking about Values with College Students.” Dr. Weiss has been a member of the faculty at NCC since 1996. He is the author of “Nietzsche’s Political Significance” which was published in the Journal of British Society for Phenomenology, and “Genealogy of Justice,” which was published in “Philosophy Today.”
