Sixties Counterculture To Be Topic of Talk at NCC
The counterculture of the 1960s will be the topic of a talk, “We Wished We Could All Be California Teens: The Emerging Counterculture in 1965 California,” on Tuesday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Northampton Community College (NCC), 3835 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem Township, in College Center, room 168.
The talk will be given by James von Schilling, professor of English at NCC. Von Schilling is the author of The Magic Window: American Television 1939 – 1953 and is currently working on a book about the Baby Boom generation. He is an expert in the history of television and American popular culture.
A movie clip, photos and graphics will be shown.
