Winners of the Patrick J. Kraus Memorial Freshman Drawing Competition were announced at a reception in Community Hall on April 13.
The juried competition, judged by NCC Fine Arts faculty members, is funded by the Patrick J. Kraus Endowment Fund, established by the late John “Duke” Kraus, former NCC bookstore manager, and his wife, Katherine, in memory of their son, Patrick, a talented artist who attended NCC in 1985-86. The awards are tuition scholarships for the following school year. The First and Second Place drawings become the property of NCC and go on permanent exhibit in Kopachek Hall and on the Monroe Campus.
