Northampton Community College (NCC) has selected fifteen students to participate in a leadership development program designed to help them become more effective leaders in school, on the job and in the community. The students were chosen through a competitive selection process out of sixty-five applicants. The group meets weekly for presentations and exercises led by a variety of NCC staff and faculty members as well as community leaders.
The students are as follows: Diana Hernandez, Joshua Kaminski, Paola Mero, Carlos Ortiz, all of Bethlehem; Jorge Picado of Broadheadsville; Anastasia Junda of Danielsville; Barbara Andrews, Eden Fimiano, Robyn Henry, Tereza Knudson, Ellen Stocker, and Shi (Veronica) Zhao, all of Easton; Jennifer Bruno of Myerstown; Cori Feller of Pen Argyl; and Kayla Davis of Stewartsville, New Jersy.
Among the staff and faculty members working with the group are Donna Goss and Don Robertson, who provide leadership training for executives from many companies in the area through NCC’s Leadership Development Institute. Business leaders who will meet with the students include Chris Martin, CEO of Martin Guitar and Shelley Brown, president and CEO of the State Theatre of Easton.
