NCC Faculty Members To Present at Educational Conference

Two faculty members at Northampton Community College (NCC) will make presentations at the Fifth Annual Teaching, Learning and Support Conference on October 20, 2006 at Sussex Community College in Newton, New Jersey.

Barbara Love, reading/writing tutorial coordinator and John Bednar, tutor at the College’s Learning Center, will present “Mutual Support: The Writing Center as an Interaction with the Campus Community.” They will discuss the types of communication and collaboration writing tutors at NCC have developed with librarians, academic instructors in varied disciplines and poets throughout the campus community. Love and Bednar will also describe successful programs and share what they have learned from interdisciplinary partnerships.

The conference is for higher education professionals and focuses on effective teaching, learning and student support systems.
