Aces high or check mate – it’s your choice as two different gaming tournaments will be hosted in Student Life.
Charity Poker Tournament
On Tuesday, April 8 a charity poker tournament will be held in Student Life, located on the second floor of College Center, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The cost is $5 to enter and all proceeds will go to the charity of the winner’s choice. Sign-up in advance at Student Life. Space is limited to 40 people. A $50 flex prize will also be donated to the winner by Student Life.
Chess Tournament
Entry is free for this tournament, but space is limited to the first 30 students who sign up in Student Life. On Tuesday, March 25, Thursday, March 27, and Tuesday, April 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., two chess games will be played following a Swiss tournament format. On April 8 the top two contestants will play in the finals on a giant chess board. The first place prize will be $50 flex and chess sets for the second and third place winners.
