Mark J. Schwab will be the speaker at
Northampton
Community College
’s commencement ceremonies on May 22 at 6:00 p.m. at the
Spartan
Center
.
An estimated 750 students will graduate on this evening.
Scwab serves as president and chief executive officer of Crayola, LLC, maker of Crayola products. He joined the Easton, Pennsylvania-based company in February 1999 and is responsible for all aspects of worldwide business including sales, marketing, operations, human resources, corporate affairs, finance and product development, as well as strategic planning and corporate development.
Before joining Crayola, Schwab was vice president of Hallmark– strategy/marketing at Hallmark Cards Inc., Kansas City, Mo., Crayola’s parent company. He joined Hallmark in 1978, serving in position of increasing responsibility including general manager of the Keepsakes ornament business; general manager – Hallmark product discovery and development; division vice president – Ambassador greeting card development; and Hallmark vice president – emerging brands and channels.
Schwab is on the board of directors of the Lehigh Valley Partnership, the board of trustees of Moravian Academy and the Pennsylvania Business Council Policy Committee.
He has a bachelor’s degree in history from Boston College and an MBA from the University of Denver.
Schwab and his spouse, Katie Loeb-Schwab, and their three children reside in Bethlehem.
