Mike Tenaglia has been named to the 2012 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Baseball All-American team. The announcement was made by the NJCAA's national office.
Tenaglia has become Northampton's second 2-time All-American, following softball's Morgan Neel. Tenaglia finished 2012 with a .397 batting average, 10 homeruns, 20 doubles and 55 RBI.
"I think people really fixated on Mike's offensive numbers," remarked Head Coach Adrian Yaguez. "But he is an outstanding defensive first baseman as well."
A 2-time First Team All Region selection, Tenaglia finished his career at NCC with a .360 batting average, 98 hits, 17 homeruns and 101 RBI.
