Home of the Future

Derrick Stanley, a communication design student in Mark Koberlein's Interactive Design class, has won the Da Vinci Science Center's "Home of the Future" Competition.  Stanley's concept for a holographic fabric that can change its color, gradient, pattern, or image with the use of a stylus took top prize out of 80 submissions. Patrick Ward, from the same design class, was one of two runners-up. Stanley was presented with a check for $1,000 on April 30. He also received a GE Cafe French Door refrigerate with hot water dispenser - valued at $3,199.
