Current High School Programs

Wilson Area Academy

“Enter to learn, go forth to serve”, a motto
Wilson Academy embraces. The Academy was developed to provide skills-based education to students who have not been successful in traditional classroom settings.  The Success Program visits campus every day three, and provides class sessions that supplement the student’s educational goals. Time management, goal setting and financial planning are some of the topics that have been addressed through this program. Success also assists students with the college application process.

Health Care Careers Exploration Program, 2005-2006
A partnership between Lehigh Valley Hospital & Health Network and Communities In Schools created the Health Care Careers Exploration Program. This program provides students with the opportunity to interact with various professionals in the health care field. The students take classes, participate in rotations through several departments and develop their personal skills. Success at NCC co-facilitates a class for the program participants every Wednesday afternoon using The 7 HABITS of Highly Effective TEENS as a text.

For additional information about the Health Care Careers Exploration Program, you may contact Nereida Villanueva, 610-402-3086.

Boys & Girls Club of Bethlehem, February2005-May2005

During the spring 2005 semester, Success worked with the Boys and Girls Club of Bethlehem. A Student Success Specialist visited the club every Wednesday at 5:30pm throughout the school year. The program participants learned about the college application process, career choices and improving their study and test-taking skills.

Look for more information about Success in the future. We may be starting a program at a high school near you!
