Dale Unger
Dale Unger is president and owner of American Archtop Guitars in Stroudsburg, PA. He started building acoustic guitars in 1979 with his friend Dick Boak. In 1993 he began an apprenticeship with master archtop guitarmaker Robert Benedetto. In 1995, he started offering his own handmade archtop guitars under the American Archtop brand for which he received critical acclaim. Dale has offered several group courses in archtop guitar making and design and currently enjoys a backorder of more than two years for his highly respected instruments.
Tim Teel
Tim Teel is the Director of Instrument Design for C.F. Martin & Co. He became interested in luthierie at a very young age and has achieved expert status as a craftsman. Tim has served many roles at Martin. He spearheaded the design and implementation of the popular X series guitars which use non-traditional materials. He also designed Martin's "Concept" holographic guitars, the unique Alternative X instruments with aluminum soundboards, and the highly popular Cowboy X and Hawaiian X Limited Edition models.
C. F. Martin IV
C.F. "Chris" Martin IV in the sixth generation of Martin Family Members to manage the world renowned Martin Guitar Company. Martin has the distinction of being the oldest surviving maker of stringed instruments in the world, plus the largest maker of acoustic guitars in the United States. Under Chris Martin's personal leadership, the company has experienced unprecedented expansion and success.
