INDUSTRIAL SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL & WATER OPERATIONS Northampton Community College is a member of the Northeast Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (PETE) and the Community College Consortium for Health & Safety Training (CCHST).
Courses PTRI 0105 10-Hour General Industry OSHA Safety Training  Provides training in safety and health topics pertinent to general industry, with an emphasis on hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention.  Introduction to OSHA, Electrical, Walking/Working Surfaces, Emergency Action and Fire Prevention Plans are a few of the topics covered in this course. PTRI 0106 30-Hour General Industry OSHA Safety Training Designed to review OSHA policies, procedures and standards, as well as general industry safety and health principles.  Geared toward safety and health managers, industrial hygienists, safety supervisors/coordinators, and human resource managers.  Emphasis will be on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide.  Topics covered in the above two courses can be tailored to specific company needs.
