BENEFITS
The Academy curriculum covers a broad range of topics; from basic networking skills such as pulling cable to more complex concepts such as applying advanced troubleshooting tools.
NOTE
Each Semester is 45 hours of classroom time and 25 hours of lab time. The lab will be available one day a week for independent study. A lab assistant will be available. Cisco Academy courses are not to be completed in less than six months.
PREREQUISITES
To start the program - An understanding of Microsoft Windows is required. A+ Certification or equivalent industry experience is strongly recommended.
The Cisco Specialized Diploma is a non-credit program designed to provide the student with hands-on skills and knowledge that a network engineering professional is expected to understand and use.
Qualified instructors teach courses. Successful completion of course work results in awarding of a Specialized Diploma.
NCC recommends that students take the CCNA Certification test upon completion of coursework. Information on these tests is available at http://www.vue.com/ . Testing for Certification is available in the NCC library.
