NCC does not offer a degree in Political Science. However, political science courses are an important part of the Liberal Arts transfer degree, which represents the first two years of a bachelor's degree. Students need to complete Introduction to Political Science, and may select three additional courses from the following: American Constitutional Law, American National Government, International Relations, Women and Politics, and State and Local Government. There are also two study abroad opportunities: Peace Studies & Conflict Resolution, and Politics of Modern Turkey.
Political Science is the study of government and politics. It looks at the structures and functions of government as well as who gets what, when, and how. Political Science study attempts to provide the student with a better understanding of political parties, interest groups, international relations, public law, public administration, liberty, freedom, justice, and political power.
