We’ll teach you how to provide support to your loved one taking classes and the resources on campus just for parents and families.

1:00 pm to 1:45 pm – Welcome and Introduction to Life at Northampton Community College
At Northampton, we’re a community. We welcome students and families with open arms. Northampton has a vibrant student life and we’ll show you how to get involved.
2:00 pm to 2:40 pm – Overview of Academic Program
During this session you will meet your program faculty, learn about the academic demands of your program, and be introduced to college policies.
3:00 pm to 3:30 pm – Academic Support Panel
This lively discussion with professors, Deans, and support staff provides families an open forum to ask questions about the academic demands of college.
3:30 pm to 4:00 pm – Introduction to Service Northampton Services
Just for families, this session will review how parents and families can provide support for their student. We’ll discuss the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), campus safety, and more.
4:00 pm – Support Staff Q&A
At the end of the day parents and families will be given the chance to meet our support staff and ask specific questions they might have for our staff.
