Evelyn Hannis will be teaching parenting during the Spring 2014 semester for the first time at NCC's Bethlehem Campus. She is a Child Preparation and Profile Specialist and has been in the social services field for 12 years in Berks County. Evelyn holds a Master's in Criminal Justice and an undergrad in Psychology/Criminal justice.
She loves to read and spend time with her family. She is a board member for a non-profit organization in the Lehigh Valley called One Thing at a Time to Make a Difference. She is also an ambassador for Shared Hope International, which is an organization to raise awareness on sex trafficking.
Her teaching goal is to have the students leave with a feeling that they learned something and apply what she's taught to situations in their everyday life. Evelyn feels that what she teaches give students a sense of empowerment.
