Jean McLenigan

Jean McLenigan is a recent transplant to the Poconos.  She is a graduate of Penn's Wharton School, with a major in accounting. Her career of 40+ years was in financial services. She worked for 3 major US banks as a securities liaison for correspondent banks, as a trust department equity trader, and as a Federal Funds trader.  She was a registered representative of a large national brokerage firm before working for the NASD, now known as FINRA. Jean spent 15 years there, as an Examiner, a Special Investigator and a Supervisor.  In 2001 she started her own compliance consulting firm that she operated for 13 years. During that time, Jean was also an arbitrator for the NASD.

In 1991, Jean's son was born deaf.  That began a new learning path into sign language and deaf culture. Jean is an instructor of beginning sign language classes and of "Investing-What Not To Do" at the Monroe campus.
