Lois Silver is a native Bostonian. After receiving a B.A. in psychology and theatre from Univ. of Mass., she moved to NYC to study drama. She continued her education at NYU and received an M.A. in drama therapy. Lois always had a love of photography and that lead her into video production where she worked at United Cerebral Palsy for 20+ years as an event photographer and video producer. Her educational videos are still sold nationally. She has had the opportunity to create numerous celebrity profiles - including John Glen, Mohamed Ali, Dan Rather and Cyndi Lauper.
Lois became interested in eastern philosophies when she moved to New York City. She was tremendously influenced by the teachings of some of the original Indian spiritual teachers that brought yoga from India to the United States (Swami Satchidananda, Yogi Bhajan, Shri Brahmanda Sarasvati and Amrit Desai) She received her yoga teaching certification from Integral Yoga Institute. Lois' yoga classes include various yoga asanas, meditation and breathing techniques.
In addition to teaching yoga, Lois still works as an actress, photographer and filmmaker and currently teaches digital photography, drama and film at various facilities in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
