Milissa Montuori has been teaching for the Horizons for Youth summer program for about ten years at the Monroe Campus for grades K-2 and 3-5. Milissa teaches a variety of classes, such as cooking classes, gender specific classes (such as Tea for Two or Girls Sleep Over), and classes for all ages (such as Pirate Adventures or Exploring Dr. Seuss). She is a certified teacher for Pocono Mountain School District and currently teaches high school special education, but has also taught middle school and elementary.
Milissa graduated from ESU with a BS degree in Recreation and Leisure Services Management with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation. She is a Licensed Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, (CTRS).
Her goal is to provide the best learning environment possible so that students will not only gain immediate knowledge, but will also have a long-term appreciation for leisure, fun, and a better quality of life.
