2016 was my first year at NCC as an assistant in the Horizons for Youth Program. I will be assisting Steve Goosley, in the main campus classroom, in the field, on the simple art of fishing fundamentals, sportsmanship and the importance of maintaining natures resources.
I have fished for many years, my father took me when I was a child and I enjoyed taking my children. When they had children, I enjoyed taking them fishing as well.
I've fished in PA and for the last 26 years while living in Washington State. I fished for trout and many more fresh water fish in PA. I went clamming, crabbing, steelhead and salmon in the state of Washington.
Not only was fishing enjoyable, I also enjoyed observing natures wild life elk, deer, river otters, weasels, hawks, owls, and eagles to name a few.
Fishing has taught me patience and persistence with practice.
