Vaccine FAQ

Translate

The following FAQs have been created to help you understand what Fall will look like at NCC.

Can I get the COVID-19 vaccine at NCC?

Yes. Vaccine clinics are offered periodically at both the Bethlehem and Monroe campuses. Check NCC’s events calendar for the most up-to-date information. You can also contact the Health Center at 610-861-5365 for more information about vaccine availability.

Will rapid testing still be available in the Health Center?

Yes, testing is still available for those individuals requesting it in the Bethlehem Campus Health Center (610-861-5365)

Do unvaccinated students, faculty and staff members need to wear masks?

While social distancing requirements have been lifted in all college facilities, given increases in COVID-19 cases in the counties we serve, individuals are required to wear face masks indoors at all NCC buildings.

This applies to all students, faculty, staff and visitors regardless of their vaccination status including those living in NCC residence halls. In spaces with four walls and a door that may be closed, including private offices and/or study spaces, a person may remove their mask.

Individuals who seek exemptions to those guidelines must contact the Health Center (610-861-5365), who will then be referred, as appropriate, to the Office of Disability Services and / or Human Resources.

If I work in a multi-person environment (multiple people in a shared office) and I am not getting vaccinated for medical reasons, how do I prevent being singled out and / or pressured to get vaccinated?

You need not explain your reasons for not getting vaccinated.  In fact, you do not need to disclose to your colleagues whether or not you are vaccinated.  If you are feeling pressured from a peer you may say, "I prefer to keep my vaccination status private, and I do feel more comfortable wearing a mask."  You must continue to complete the NCCGo app each day you are on campus and wear a mask whenever inside a college facility or building.

What if a student in my class is not wearing a mask?

We suggest that faculty reiterate at the beginning of class that masks are required for all individuals on campus regardless of vaccination status.
