Rocky Urich ’03 and Carlo Acerra ’15 honored

Rocky Urich ’03 and Carlo Acerra ’15 of FireRock Productions won three 2019 Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy® Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences on September 28.

Urich and his wife, Julia, own and operate the Emmaus-based video company FireRock Productions, where Acerra works as a video editor and Carrigan as a producer/editor. Acerra is also an adjunct instructor of communications at NCC.

The Emmaus-based video production company took home awards in the Program Photography Craft Achievement category, the Education/Schools Program or Special category, and the Human Interest Program Feature or Segment category.

 Education/Schools Program or Special category:
“Sir W. Arthur Lewis: A Lasting Legacy” - winners Julia Urich, Rocky Urich, and Carlo Acerra, produced in collaboration with Princeton University.
Human Interest Program Feature of Segment category:
“Beyond the Badge: Jillian & Jerry” – winners Julia Urich and Rocky Urich, produced for the Officer David M. Petzold Memorial Foundation; a feature on the very special bond between the late Jillian Massey, her friend, Ridley Township, PA police officer Jerry Scanlan, and their extraordinary mission.
